A daily rundown of looks for 5-days in Jamaica.

I’M GOING TO JAMAICA FOR A WEEK WITH MY GIRLS. I’M OFTEN ASKED WHAT I PACK ON TRIPS – SO HERE IT IS. AND HERE’S HOPING I LOOK HALF AS CHIC AS KATE MOSS DOES IN THIS PICTURE.

Also, I will be staying at The Golden Eye, the very spot Flemming wrote most of his James Bond novels. And did I mention (my style icon) Kate Moss stays here? Perhaps I really can look as chic as she does in this picture…More about the hotel when I am back.

For now, heres what I am bringing! And kids packs coming soon too…

Day 1:

Pretty in pink. Not usually my go-to, but it’s Jamaica. When on holiday have a little fun with your styling. There’s no reason you need to stick to what you know. Especially with accessories: hair, neck, shoulder. Do it all – from scarves to handbags, try something you wouldn’t usually. Especially color.

Day 2:

Ok, so I said try color while away. But sometimes comfort is all you seek when on holiday. If you’re a lover of black (like most NY-ers), try it in a lighter approach. The ‘tropical new yorker’.

Day 3:

I love to build my looks around ‘classics’. Playful versions of a mens shirt are easy outfit wins in warmer climates.

Day 4

A linen dress is the epitome of a spring/summer holiday. And I really do love being able to wake up, put one piece on (paired with a great accessory) and be done. Especially when you have young children with you – an all-in-one outfit is kind of a no-brainer.

Day 5:

Some swimsuits are made to be the feature of the outfit (much like this one from Solid & Stiped). What more do you need! Maybe a fringed Tee, like that from Loewe, to cover up for lunch.

Robes for Dinner

From beach to dinner. A printed robe is all you need. Add some accessories and you’re ready to take this look to a dinner party.

For those interested, kids must-pack coming soon.
